About Promptchan

Promptchan is an uncensored AI platform with three things in it: an image generator, a video generator, and AI companions you can actually hold a conversation with. It runs on the web and in the iOS and Android apps, and you can start on a free daily allowance without a card.

Creating images

Describe a character or a scene and Promptchan generates it. You steer the result with style presets that run from photorealistic through anime, pose and composition controls, quality tiers, and a negative prompt for the things you want kept out. Anything in the community gallery can be cloned — its prompt and settings load straight into the generator so you can work from someone else's starting point instead of a blank box.

AI companions

Every character can talk. Pick a companion from the Discover feed or build your own, give her a voice, and hold a conversation that stays in character. Chat mode reads like texting; Story mode turns it into a scene you direct together. You can generate an image from the context of the conversation without leaving it, and voice messages and live calls are available in chat. See the chat tutorial for a walkthrough.

Video

Full-length AI video shipped and is part of the Pro plan — including extend, so a clip does not have to stop where the first generation ended. You can animate an image you have already made or generate video straight from a prompt. The video tutorial covers both.

The community gallery

Over 20 million images and videos made by the community, added to continuously. It is the fastest way to learn what actually works: where a creator shared them, each creation carries the prompt and settings behind it. Browse it here.

Generations spend Gems. Every account gets a free daily allowance; paid plans add a monthly allowance plus higher quality tiers, more styles and poses, and — on Pro — video, custom characters and upscaling. The pricing page lists exactly what each plan includes.

Safety and moderation

Promptchan runs multi-stage AI filtering and moderation to block illegal content. Creating or uploading AI-generated content involving minors, or non-consensual deepfakes of real people, is prohibited and results in account termination.
